Jodie’s Famous Beer Batter

  • 1-2 cups Krusteaz pancake mix
  • 1 tsp Johnny’s seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill
  • 1 fresh clover garlic
  • Beer of your choice.  Light beer for less flavor stella, budweiser, rainier or IP for more flavor
Batter should be fairly thin but is a matter of preference
Use a deep fryer or stove top method of using a large 5 quart pot with high sides.  Fill approximately 3# with either peanut, canola sunflower corn or vegetable oil
Heat to 375 degrees if it starts to smoke it is way too hot
Cook to folden brown
note: for best results cut into small pieces.
Use slotted spoon to remove
